Where No Horizons Rise

sky-and-clouds

My sheets are set to catch the winds of light
among the whirl of stars through which I sail
where no horizons rise against my sight.

I’m borne along in interstellar flight
upon celestial streams which never fail
the sheets I set to catch the winds of light.

Across the vastness of this star-filled night
is no frontier, no demarcation’s pale,
and no horizons rise against my sight.

In endless spans of breadth and depth and height
there’s only time’s dimension left to scale
as sheets are set to catch the winds of light.

Infinity’s uncounted suns ignite
imagination’s never-ending trail
where no horizons rise against my sight.

On heaven’s oceans I shall fly my kite
‘til every star has shared with me its tale.
My sheets are set to catch the winds of light
where no horizons rise against my sight.
