As Seen by the Heart

old-couple-in-park

A true love knows no age, no bound’ries rise
to fetter or confine the bloom that grows.
A true love views the world through blinded eyes,
discounting what it sees with what it knows.
Companion-ed by a faithfulness of heart,
emboldened by the shield of fealty,
a true love marks no years upon its chart,
nor sets a time upon fidelity.
Though beauty of a face may draw you near,
’tis beauty of a soul that bids you stay–
and though the sunlight dims to bleak and drear,
the mem’ry of its glow ne’er goes away.
A true love knows no age–and thus, is bliss.
Unbroken bonds, secured by true love’s kiss.
