I Saw Poetry Today

I saw poetry today
flying calmly in the wind,
rested on a toddler’s shoulder
and with two precious hands
he studied it front to back.

It twinkled in an old woman’s glance,
bloomed amongst kisses,
walked past me, left a scent,
and in hummingbird harmony
it sang to the sky.
