Come sail with me upon a ship of dreams!
It’s time to leave this dreary place behind –
those lists of things to do, that daily grind,
the petty cares and well-intentioned schemes.
We’ll go where warm winds blow and sunlight gleams
on wet wild-formed ideas, where we shall find
amid the scattered islands of the mind
that everything is never as it seems.
We’ll make a cosy nest on some atoll
to spend our days; we’ll catch all sorts of fish,
enjoy the setting sun, and laughing, stroll
across the sand; find time to laze and loll
beneath the stars – look up and make a wish! –
revitalise our bodies and our souls.
