Sunset’s Crimson Kiss

sunset

“A sunset is the sunlight’s fiery kiss to the night.”
                                                                     ~ Crystal Woods

I
Crimson hues of golden-red, shade the evening’s sky,
where sunsets promise other morns’, bidding day goodbye…
Shadows dance in twilight’s hush, ‘neath fading beams of light,
as nightingales sing songs of woe, o’er
the land at night…

II
The crimson skies at sunset, color flower’d hills and dales,
as fragrant windswept breezes, scent meadows quiet vales…
When twilight touches forest woods, kissing them goodnight,
shadows dance ‘neath leaves of green, on
fading beams of light…

III
Bright flies of butter gather, brightly floating here and there,
as buzzing bees of honey wing without a care…
On whisper’d hues of golden-red, shade the evening’s sky,
as sunsets promise other morns’,
bidding day goodbye…

IV
The crimson skies of sunset, color flowered hills and dales,
as fragrant windswept breezes, scent
meadow’s quiet vales…
